ATI’s Chesser: ‘Liberate Ohio’s Energy Policy’

As Gov. John Kasich assesses the energy summit he convened this week at Ohio State University to determine best practices to help jump-start the economy, he need keep only one principle in mind: freedom. Giving consumers choice in the context of unfettered supply and demand allows them to decide which products and services best meet their needs, with the greatest efficiency, at the most economical price.

Green-Energy Activists Declare War on Rural Coloradans

Some lawmakers in Colorado want to increase the cost of electricity for all Coloradans, especially those in rural areas. Awaiting Gov. John Hickenlooper’s signature, SB 252would require rural electric cooperatives to dramatically increase the amount of electricity generated from renewable sources to 25 percent by 2020, up from the current mandate of 10 percent. This portends unambiguously higher electricity ratesfor Coloradans.
