I’m Sure They’ve Got Some Cosmic Rationale
Over at the National Legal & Policy Center blog today I explain how a front group called Climate Counts is acting on behalf of organic yogurt company Stonyfield Farm, which grades other corporations on how well they toe the global warming alarmist line. Their current attack is on McDonald’s, but they offer their allies a simplified means to send hundreds of companies messages that warn “we’re watching you” and how they’d better shape up on the climate issue. Unsurprisingly Climate Counts gives Stonyfield a stellar grade, despite having gone global (requiring tons more in carbon dioxide emissions) in its supply chain.
A hypocritical profit-seeker using a non-profit to push its extremist agenda gives new meaning to “environmental pressure group.”

Even worse than a private company doing this is that EPA uses front groups like Defenders of Wildlife to pressure - get this - the government into implementing even more radical policy (take wolves for example). But now wolves have destroyed the elk habitat int eh Northwest. How is that beneficial?
